Description of the merger 
Proposed acquisition by Accenture of 100 per cent ordinary shares in the capital of NewsPage. Accenture has submitted that the proposed Acquisition will not result in a substantial lessening of competition due to the intense nature of competition in the market for Client Relationship Management (“CRM”) and Supply Chain Management (“SCM”) solutions, the fragmented market shares of the players, strong countervailing buyer powers of customers with the use of competitive tendering process, and low barriers of entry.

Relevant good(s) or service(s) involved
The relevant goods are the design, production and distribution of CRM software and the design, production and distribution of SCM software. These goods can be referred to as Consumer Packaged Goods Front Office Solutions.

 Decision:

 The proposed merger, if carried into effect, will not infringe the section 54 prohibition.
