If you have to give advice to a new graduate/recruit, what would it be?
Whatever you undertake, do it with an open mind and do it to the best of your ability. Take every opportunity given as a lesson. There may be mistakes made along the way but what’s most important is to learn from them.
Having been in the private sector, what would you say is the key difference working in CCCS?
CCCS may be small, but it plays an important role in Singapore’s economy. The size is a benefit – it makes collaboration across teams easier. 😊
How would you describe the culture at CCCS?
Serious. We are serious in doing what we do. While everyone works independently, when we need to come together to deliver something, it happens! Despite different backgrounds and skillsets, it’s an organisation that’s open minded and takes suggestions from its officers.
What is a day like for you in CCCS?
I am with the Communications team. There’s no typical day but it usually revolves working with investigation teams for cases, handling media queries, and when ideas come for social media, I’d better quickly write them down.
