Visit to Competition Agencies in China

A CCS delegation comprising the Chief Executive, Mr Toh Han Li and directors of the Business & Economics Division, the International and Strategic Planning Division and the Enforcement Division, visited three Chinese competition agencies from 31 October to 1 November 2016.

The agencies visited were - the Anti-monopoly Bureau under the Ministry of Commerce, the Price Supervision and Anti-Monopoly Bureau (PSAMB) under the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as the Anti-Monopoly and Anti-unfair Competition Enforcement Bureau under the State Administration for Industry and Commerce.

The delegation was warmly received by Director General Zhang Handong and Deputy Director General Li Qing of PSAMB. The delegation discussed the competition developments in China, views on antitrust enforcements and disruptive innovations, as well as enforcement actions against administrative monopolies amongst others.
