Grab's Application to Impose a Platform Fee for its Ride-hailing Services in Singapore

The Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) invited public feedback from 28 July to 11 August 2020, on an application by Grab to impose a platform fee on riders for its ride-hailing services in Singapore. If granted, this would amount to a variation of the directions issued by CCCS to Grab on 24 September 2018.

Status:

Following the commencement of the point-to-point regulatory framework on 30 October 2020, CCCS has released the directions that were imposed on Grab on 24 September 2018 with immediate effect from 20 November 2020. With the lifting of the directions, CCCS will no longer issue a decision on the application by Grab to impose a platform fee on riders for its ride-hailing services in Singapore.
