The parties to the agreement are:

(1) Etihad Airways PJSC; and

(2) Jet Airways (India) Limited

Summary of the nature and objective of the agreement:

Etihad Airways PJSC and Jet Airways (India) Limited (individually, a “Party” and collectively, the “Parties”) seek a decision from CCS to allow coordination of their carrier operating on common online/overlapping routes concerning Singapore origin and destination city pairs.

The coordination (“Proposed Commercial Alliance”) is proposed to include pricing, route and schedule coordination, marketing, code-sharing, networks, customer service and resourcing decisions between the Parties. The proposed alliance and cooperation is intended to realize various efficiencies and synergies, including lower administrative costs, sharing of joint resources, better customer service and efficient administration of their respective businesses. This is aimed to increase competition for air passenger services and enhance passenger choice, through connecting the complimentary networks of Etihad Airways PJSC and Jet Airways (India) Limited.

The services involved relate to the international air passengers transport industry (and associated support services) concerning Singapore origin and destination city pairs with common online/overlapping routes.

Decision:
