The Applicants entered into a joint venture arrangement in 2016 (“2016 JV”) which received a positive decision from the CCCS on 12 December 2016, subject to certain voluntary commitments made by the Applicants. The Applicants are seeking a positive decision through this notification relating to the expansion of the geographic scope of the 2016 JV (the “Proposed Expanded JV”)

The Proposed Expanded JV would include additional European countries, such that the scope would cover (a) Albania, (b) Austria, (c) Belgium, (d) Bosnia and Herzegovina, (e) Bulgaria, (f) Croatia, (g) Cyprus, (h) Czech Republic, (i) Estonia, (j) France, (k) Germany, (l) Greece, (m) Hungary, (n) Iceland, (o) Republic of Ireland, (p) Italy, (q) Kosovo, (r) Latvia, (s) Lithuania, (t) Luxembourg, (u) Malta, (v) Republic of Moldova, (w) Montenegro, (x) Netherlands, (y)

North Macedonia, (z) Poland, (aa) Portugal, (bb) Romania, (cc) Serbia, (dd) Slovakia, (ee) Slovenia, (ff) Spain, (gg) Switzerland, (hh) and the United Kingdom; as well additional

Asia/Asia-Pacific countries, such that the scope would cover (a) Singapore, (b) Australia, (c) Indonesia, (d) Malaysia, (e) New Zealand, (f) Vietnam and (g) the Philippines, (collectively, the “Expanded Home Markets”).

Consistent with the 2016 JV, the Proposed Expanded JV relates to the provision of international scheduled air passenger services, specifically, the supply of international scheduled air passenger transport services between the Expanded Home Markets, and will not involve cargo operations.

Consultation:

Interested parties are invited to submit their views on the Proposed Cooperation. If the submission or correspondence contains confidential information, interested parties should also provide CCCS with a non-confidential version of the submission or correspondence.

Comments should reach the CCCS no later than 31 January 2023, 5.00 p.m.
