If I suspect bid rigging, what should I do?

If you suspect collusive tendering or bid-rigging arrangements by bidders in the procurement process (i.e. potential infringements of the Section 34 prohibition), please write, email or call the CCCS hotline at 1800 3258282 to report your suspicions to CCCS immediately, together with supporting evidence of collusion or bid-rigging. Where there is reasonable basis to suspect that there has been infringement of the prohibitions of the Competition Act, CCCS will commence investigations on the relevant bidders.

We would advise against alerting the relevant bidders of your suspicions on anti-competitive behaviour, prior to CCCS conducting an investigation into the matter. This would prevent the potential infringing bidders from covering their tracks and hindering the investigation process.
